PROJECT CODE

HOG-R-11 (Residential Interior Architecture)

The name synthesizes the project's two defining visual anchors: the bold teal-blue culinary zone and the recurring warm timber ceiling rafts and joinery.

The Azure Grain Residence is a contemporary apartment intervention that balances neutral architectural shells with strategic material contrasts. The design language is anchored by a 'warm-cool' duality; the public spaces utilize a palette of beige walls and walnut wood veneers to create a welcoming, tactile environment. This warmth is architecturally emphasized through recessed wooden ceiling rafts that define the circulation axis and living zones.

In contrast, the kitchen introduces a bold chromatic disruption with matte teal-blue lower cabinetry, offset by crisp white uppers and black profile handles, creating a modern graphic aesthetic. The private quarters are treated as distinct textural studies: the master suite employs mirrored surfaces to expand spatial perception , while the guest rooms explore varied finishes from high-gloss dark acrylics to soft, fluted white laminates. The integration of a compact, bespoke Puja unit within the dining volume demonstrates a sensitivity to cultural function within a modern footprint.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

  • Ceiling Articulation: The use of wooden slat rafters in ceiling coves to visually lower the scale and add warmth to the living and master bedroom zones.
  • Material Diversity in Joinery: Each bedroom features a unique wardrobe typology—spanning from sliding mirrors to dark reflective glass and fluted matte panels.
  • Integrated Spirituality: A dedicated, custom-designed Puja cabinet featuring laser-cut bell motifs and internal lighting, seamlessly integrated into the dining joinery.
  • Marble & Wood Fusion: The entertainment wall combines the coolness of a marble-finish back panel with the warmth of asymmetrical open wooden shelving.
